We hope to come again and spend more time relaxing on premises than seeing all the beautiful sights. 100% contact free check-in and day-to-day living (key for the cabin upon arrival is in a lockbox you open yourself with code). For those cautious about Covid / Corona Virus, note Backroads Cabins can not be beat. Hill City apparently has one but we went to the laundromat in Rapid City (Parkway Laundromat - huge, clean). Nearby Keystone (very convenient) had a single laundromat but it was closed for the season. My only recommendation would be to have some type of on-premises laundry. always good enough for texting or calling but streaming video cannot be guaranteed (obviously nice to totally disconnect but one boy needed streaming for some school work). They even provided supplies for a batch of s’mores! Provided WiFi in our cabin was spotty and not quite good enough for dependable streaming (our cabin was one of the farther cabins from the WiFi access point). Kitchen stocked with pots, pans, eating utensils and the basics like a cookie sheet, colander, toaster, coffee pot (with coffee and filters!), etc. We did not use fire pit or seating area outside due to cool temps. teenager loved having his own room down stairs while us parents and other two boys were in loft upstairs (us parents had own room too). Spacious for our family (boys 15, 11 and 6). Our visit was just before snow/winter set in but cabin was warm and cozy (electric heaters throughout). We just finished a 3-4 day October stay at “the Barn” cabin at BackRoads Inn & Cabins as part of our family roadtrip from the east coast and could not have been more pleased.
