Navy gets no more benefit from Research than others. Lasers and experimental weapons are worse than pistols and pipes. PSI powers are a world of their own, and obviously confronting the enemy with old fashioned violence is a fun choice for a FPS. Navy does have a slight boost there, but it's practically irrelevant. Maybe if hacking is crucial, all the classes have to be able to hack. Navy is kinda just a little less dumb than a brick and can hack stuff slightly earlier. Maybe if Repair wasn't worthless and Research was better implemented? As it is, the dumb as brick Marine can be agile, good with all weapons or melee, and skilled enough with electronics and research. Players focusing on Standard Weapons can choose between the Navy Sailor and the Marine.Hack and Cyber is pretty good, but otherwise the Navy really doesn't have much shine.Training Maintenance skill gives the player one Disposable Maintenance Tool.Naval Officers can learn +2 Cybernetic Affinity (more than any other class) which is very compatible with Hacking.Hacking-oriented players should prioritize the Navy Sailor, as it's the only class providing this skill immediately.Paths 2.2 (+1 Maintenance on Year 2) and 3.1 (+1 Research on Year 3) are worth the least Cyber Modules.Paths 2.3 (+2 Standard Weapons on Year 2) and 3.2/3.3 (+2 Endurance/Agility on Year 3) are worth the most Cyber Modules. On average, Sailor's trainings are worth a similar amount of Cybernetic Modules as Marine's trainings, however with a much wider spread (the biggest of all classes). It is aimed at the players who focus slightly more on non-combat approach, as it offers a choice of all Technical Skills (up to 3 out of 5 can be selected). The Navy Sailor is a good class for beginners. You have one of three options to choose from:ġ3 th February 2112 − 11 th February 2113 After that, a shuttle takes you to the Chesapeake Bay Space Station orbiting the Earth to begin your three-year training. Upon selecting this class, you are first sent to Coronado Island for a half year long preliminary training, during which you gain +1 Standard Weapons. Naval trainees usually learn a mix of Technical Skills and train up several Statistics. The modern navy must, therefore, conquer the machines. The machines have conquered the elements. Gone are the days of struggling with sails, oars, or coal and diesel engines.
